PHEW, finally, my 3rd Guardian character for my 'Aeturnumkind' story. Has my lil' Bastian draw up for ages, and now I seem to have my original character spark back, I should be continuing them!
Name: Bastian De Valeureux-Mort
Gender: Male
Age Ancient
Role: Protector of Enchantment - All the benign magic of the planet flows to and from Bastian; he is as the heart and conduit.
Personality: Shy, reserved and introverted; he speaks little and hardly ever reveals his true thoughts/feelings. He is somewhat a drifter, and will never stay in one place too long. He is hugely indifferent to his fellow guardians, neither hating nor appreciating them in any way.
Trivia: - Not even Bastian himself knows his true age - he has long since forgotten all details of his birth and early life; he only knows that he will no longer age, and it is doubtful he will ever die.
- The feathers in his hair were a favor from a rare exotic bird-like creature whom he greatly cared for a long time ago, and is the only material possession he owns.
- He is incredibly athletic and nimble, and can jump in excess of 200ft. His taloned feet and flexible, and can grasp things as well as hands.
Biography: He came to be Enchantment protector through an act of euthanasia to the previous guardian. They had been gravely injured, and Bastian agreed to end their life. The sudden influx of strong magic that entered him at his instant inheritance of the role almost killed him as well, but his immortality was not bested.

I like the basic idea behind this design, the hair, the feet (ho god I love those feet ajshdgajshgdajhsgd 
) and overall concept. I kind of want to dig my hands in his hair and bury them in it.
I do however, have some critique to offer, and that is that it took me a long time to see the guy's left hand (his left, not the viewers). There isn't a whole lot of depth here and the angle it's placed in makes it easy to mistake the index finger as a part of the arm. It could easily have been avoided by shading the sleeve of the glove and the actual glove differently by adding a layer of depth. That whole hand and arm looks rather flat.
Another comment I have is that is colorscheme does not match his personality, you describe him as introverted and reserved, yet the first thing I thought when I looked at him was 'well, this is an outgoing and talkative characrter'. I think, personally, that he would do better with a more muted colorscheme, softer, and less saturated colors, and it would make his personality clearer to the viewer. Colorschemes are, after all, an essential part of visual characters.
Overall, I think he sounds well-balanced and he has a good concept and again, I LOVE THOSE FEET.
